Display calibration (II)

OK so in the meantime I had a decent chance to calibrate my Eizo S2231 using the Eye-One Display2. It took me a couple of attempts to actually figure out how to set everything up properly in the “advanced mode” but it was worth it.

Yes, I admit, my passion for photography is getting to another level. Since we moved to our new house, we decided to have a large panaromatic print made of one of our pictures from our trip to Tuscany.

Now, whenever you go and spend big money to have a large print made and have it laminated on a carier to be put against your wall, you want the end result to be absolutely spot-on. One thing that’s always tricky when making print outs of your digital pictures, is getting the colors right. Things depend largely on the quality and color fidelity of your monitor. I recently upgraded my monitor to a nice Eizo model so I immediately went all the way and bought myself a monitor calibrator as well.

It’s been a while since I was writing anyhting on this blow. To make a long story short, work has caught up with me
